The report starts with a background on democratic process in South Africa. UNESCO's partnerships in training journalists on HIV/ADS and democrary follows. The other section looks at assessment results. Research and community participation then follows. The last sections cover challenges and obstacles to civic-minded journalism education in South Africa.
